RGDmaps are constructed using vector graphics software before saving as high resolution Adobe® PDF files. This means that, although each map is optimised for an A4 page, they can be infinitely scaled, for both viewing and printing, without loss of resolution.
RGDmaps are best viewed and printed using Adobe® Acrobat Reader 6, or later, which supports “Layers”. This means that you can select only those features that you require, such as various range circles, from the Layers palette.
Alternatively, you can use any other program that supports PDF files, such as Apple’s Preview, although these may not support Layers.
By contrast, the sidebar image and all other images on these web pages are low resolution, pixel based.
